Get Involved

All community members wishing to be involved in either of these 2 Mid Richmond community food projects, will need to become an official volunteer of the Mid Richmond Neighbourhood centre.

The Hive

Everyone is welcome to join us as we build The Hive – a Mid Richmond community garden. There are many ways to be involved at The Hive.

Whether you like to save and sow seeds, design and build garden structures, create art for gardens, plan events, propagate plants, engage community groups and members, host or attend a workshop, there is and/or will be something for you to join in with......or simply just to join us for a cup of tea.

Food Crop Collectors

food Crop Collectors is a community based local food project.

food Crop Collectors aim is to harvest & or collect excess fruit and vegetables from local Mid Richmond residents who are happy to donate it.
The donated produce will provide local, healthy and nutritious food to the wider Mid Richmond community.

food Crop collectors will be run by a team of volunteers who will have the opportunity to develop and share a broad range of skills in all things food. Volunteers could also lend a hand in resident gardens if requested.
There is nothing more satisfying than sharing home grown produce
If you are a Mid Richmond resident and are happy to donate any excess produce and would like to contribute in the project
or
If you would like to become a food Crop Collector and help harvest/ collect donated produce and share and gain skills in all things food.
we would love to hear from you.
